How Poverty Mindsets Are Keeping You From Living Your Best Life

Have you ever engaged in conversation with people who focus on scarcity rather than abundance? It’s difficult to entertain those discussions when a person’s belief system comes from a place of lack. It’s all about knowing WHO supplies your every need.

We have a loving  and generous Father who is more than able to meet your every need and it was through the purchased blood of Jesus that it was made possible. (My God shall also abundantly fill every nook and cranny to overflowing in all areas of your lives. The wealth of his dream come true in Christ Jesus measures his generosity towards you! Phil 4:19, The Mirror Translation)

But, He doesn’t stop there.

God is not only interested in supplying your “needs,” He is also very interested in satisfying your desires. He put those desires in you because he wants you to enjoy His creation. He wants to use you to help rescue young girls from human sex trafficking or single mom’s in desperate situations. He desires for you to leave an inheritance to your children and your children’s children (Prov. 13:2), but how are  you to enjoy the extravagance of God when you wrestle with mindsets about wealth?

Believe.

Believe this is your inheritance. Start thinking like a queen rather than a pauper. The word believe in Hebrew is aman and means confirm, support, nourish and nurse.  When is the last time you dreamed with God so big that it almost seemed impossible? How about dining at a five star restaurant or going to Nordstrom to buy yourself a new and dazzling outfit? Travel…when is the last time you took a vacation or perhaps a stay-cay? The shift comes when you believe it is His good pleasure to bless you. It’s amazing when you start taking a step towards those desires and they actually start coming towards you.

A poverty mindset is paralyzing for some people. It will keep you living a mediocre, status-quo kind of life. It will cause you to believe this is the hand you were dealt, living the paycheck to paycheck life and afraid to let go of things in your life because you’re afraid there will never be enough.

Here is a huge key I learned on my journey when starting my business in 2012…….

Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness…(But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness [His way of doing and being right—the attitude and character of God], and all these things will be given to you also. Matthew 6:33)

I have kept that scripture as the cornerstone of everything I do in my business. I believe God wants us to be millionaires and billionaires so we can be change agents and help multitudes of women and young girls. God’s heart is to use you as a conduit to help others. But, if we are going to do this we have to be willing to let go of our tightly held mindsets around money.

Whether you are just starting your business or already in business and ready to take it to the next level, have you thought about how much money you want to make per month, per year? Does the thought of writing down a large figure scare you? Good! Have you ever heard of that quote, “Feel the fear and do it anyways?”  This is just where you want to be. Fear is only an illusion in our minds anyways because perfect love has cast out fear….fear was settled at the cross.

What will you do differently to live your best life? Live your life from the throne room of God and your most amazing life will unfold before you. He is seated within you and all of the fullness of the Godhead dwells within you.

Love & Abundance,

Valarie
